Last Thursday we went to a nearby bird watching tower. Very few birds on that day, but the weather was amazing.
Sunny skies, frosty reeds and almost no wind.

Recently bought a used Tamron 150-600, to try to photograph birds, but as i mentioned there were very few of them at this locale. Tried to capture the magical light in the reeds instead. Seems like the camera struggled a bit, the color of the sky is off and it is blown out, but I think it gave an interesting look.

After some quick adjustments in Snapseed i would say that this picture represents a more accurate image of what the sky was like that day.

I wish I had a sunrise photo to submit, but since @ant_pruitt put out the call for sunrise photos, the only partly cloudy moments have been in the afternoons. But here’s a photo I took this morning - I was struck this morning by how pretty freezing fog is. I’d never heard that term until I moved here last November.

Oh, by the way, Ant, if you’re worried that the image is slanted, that’s just the slight incline of the street.
