Heard on last week’s episode that this podcast is now done with video. When I search for Smart Tech Today in Pocket Casts, only the MP3 version appears. Then I searched Smart Tech Today in the Apple Podcast app and the video version does appear.
Am I doing something wrong? Thought when the podcast is published it would go to all podcast apps.
It gets added to the Apple podcast list, which acts as the master for all the third party apps. It’s down to them to crawl that list and index new entries, and Pocket Casts appears to have missed it.
I installed then deleted it from my iPad for that reason - if it didn’t have the STT video feed this far after the start, it was no use to me. It doesn’t seem to know about the other TWiT video feeds, either. Or at least I couldn’t find them.
I’m staying with the Apple app for the moment, even though I’m not fond of the UI.
Appreciate the info. I have all the TWIT podcasts through Pocket Cast. Haven’t had any issue locating them. Not opposed to the Apple podcast app, just like the GUI better on Pocket Cast. For now, will just have to watch STT on Apple podcast app.
I’m no expert, just relaying the info I got from @PDelahanty when I asked the same question. If you like Pocket Casts you might want to ask the developer why it seems to have missed the feed. I was being lazy and just abandoned the app (and several others) after finding the video feeds appeared to be missing.
