Anyone have something specific that they plan to chase down on Black Friday?
I have a list in Amazon…new 10.2 iPad for my parents, a few new Echos and Fire TV, camera strap and bag…
Unfortunately we’ve even started to do the same thing here in Canada, although our Thanksgiving is in early October. (It used to be that the best deals could be found on Boxing Day, the 26th of December, when people would also have gifted money and gift cards to spend.)
As far as even going out in public that day… I’ve rarely ever found most of the deals that appealing… I mean sure it’s great to save $20 here or there if you ALREADY wanted the item… but rarely do the deals seem worth the hassles accompanying dealing with all the crazy people trying to score them.
I want a Kindle white or Oasis but I ordered one on prime day and had to send it back TWICE and got THREE defective devices. So now I’m not so sure. But my fire is dying on me it’s like 5 years old.
I’ve also found that many of the Black Friday “deals” here extend well beyond the day/weekend itself, while supplies last. We got our last TV on a BF deal that had been extended by a week or more, due to overstock.
There is an HP Chromebook I want for my son. Normally $599, down to $399. But last week, Best Buy had some items lowered to Black Friday prices early.
I am lucky I checked the site, because now it is back up to normal price again - until Black Friday.
So, I already have the 1 item I wanted to get.
Oh yeah maybe I’ll grab a chromebox
I am more of a cyber Monday type than Black Friday. I am nice and cozy in bed while the crowds slam the stores early morning. I hate how nuts it is getting. Some stores now open like 10PM Thanksgiving day and stay open all night. I think they are doing anything they can to compete with online shopping. I would rather shop online any time of the year, so I do the same for the holidays.
In the past - many stores now let yopu get the exact same deals on their website - without having to go to their store on Black Friday. I’ve done that the last few years. You just have to wait a few days to pick it up later…
Yeah I do that sometimes too. I think some people like the rush of shopping the crowds Personally, I would rather do anything but.
I am hoping there are some great deals on Samsung Tablets. I keep watching Amazon.
I looked thru several Black Friday ads last night. Best Buy will have some deals on Samsung Tablets. Go look up one of those Black Friday websites that have a scan in of their ads. They will have some sails on their various Tab A tablets. And, the S4 tablet is also on sale (on that day).
Thanks for the information.
I have no plans to get anything, I usually don’t do Black Friday, however if I do I will order from one of the online sales instead of going to the store.
Black Friday. Best day to be in the office. NO ONE bothers you.
Just saw this pop in my feed
Forbes: Black Friday 2019: Best Buy’s Biggest Deals [Updated].
S6 will be on sale.
Yes. If I remember right, it is down to $499.
I’m in Australia, so no Black Friday officially, but a lot of stores (and Amazon) have Black Friday sales. The main shopping precinct in Adelaide, Rundle Mall, is staying open until midnight (South Australia has some of the most restrictive trading hours in Australia). I’m always interested in a bargain
I have a growing wish list which I hope to check off. There are accessories, Bluetooth keyboard, Logitech crayon or Apple pencil v1, and maybe some other deals. One thing I have learned is to be ready to pounce.
I’ve been considering a Canon Rebel, but I am also possibly in the market for a new tablet.
That said, I try to shop for friends and family first, and I’m finding a lot of the sales are more “me-oriented” rather than “gift-oriented.”
