This situation is interesting, the article is completely based on statements TC received from inside Mozilla but I couldn’t find anything official from Mozilla or firefox posted on their websites or social media.
That is disappointing as it was a useful service. Mozilla is already in the doghouse with me atm after the release of the new Android Firefox browser that is a shadow of its former self with so much stripped out. Only 9 add-ons supported atm. So many options/tools/optimizations missing/gone. They even removed about:config. Such a mess.
I have uninstalled and have gone to F-droid Fennac.
