I currently have a studio mic and a mixer that I have used for years for podcasting. The mic uses phantom power. I was hoping I could hook up that mic and mixer to the HF radio for recording shows. Unfortunately, it is creating a loud buzz when I have it hooked up and try to transmit. I am at my wits end for what is going on and what to try next. I have made a video I’ll post later tonight with my full set up. The only thing I didn’t mention in the video was that I have tried running the radio from a battery with no change to the buzzing.
I have an FT-991 (not A) and transmitting on VHF currently.
