Love it! Use it all the time
I love mine too, the 8GB of RAM is great!
This is on sale at Bestbuy for $350!!!
Yes, I know. That is the Black Friday sale. But a little over a week ago - Best Buy had some early Black Friday sales.
I picked one up for my son. He keeps getting viruses on his Windows computer. He wants a chromebook now, but he said my Dell 14" two in 1 is too heavy for him. So, he wanted the HP one.
I set it up for him, and then put it back in the box. He’ll get it in about a month.
FWIW, if you paid more, they will usually refund the difference if its within the return period.
I guess I left it outta my reply - I paid the $350 Black Friday price when I got it. And yea - I was at Best Buy this morning, and I see it is $350 today again.
But, that is what I paid for it.
Good stuff, I just bought a 2nd one.
Cool.
I have 3 Chrome OS devices already - so, I sure do not need another - Otherwise, I might buy another for me personally too.
I have three 11.6 inch Chromebooks as well…and I love them for taking to the garage, traveling etc, but I’ve been spoiled with the performance of the HP.
Add another server to my list, low bid on ebay and i won.
As of this writing, I have two desktop PCs, a laptop, and a smartphone.
The first desktop is a Windows machine, but I’m planning to wipe the drive and put on a Linux OS in it in the future. The second desktop, also running Windows, is used for backup.
My laptop is running Pop!_OS and I’m enjoying it so far.
Lastly, my smartphone is a Samsung S7, and I’m currently looking for a custom ROM to replace the stock one.
Jeff, those systems are still available online for download if for any reason you felt it necessary to do so.

I am and IT tech and have more machines and parts then I can think of, or may ever use. I use my HP elitebook laptop everyday and it is a high end machine and using Linux Mint which is a well put together system and complete. I have many old OS’s that I could install from CD, but it is unlikely I will have a need. My computer serves a purpose and as long as it does it is unlikely I will need to use the others.

Randy im sure they are but then the question is why?
MacBook Pro 15”, MacBook Pro 13”, MacBook Air 13”, MacBook Air 11”, Lenovo ThinkPad 14” Linux Mint, Dell Inspiron 3000 15.6” Windows 10, iPad Pro 11” w/Keyboard and Pencil
None, I wish I had a ChromeOS PC but I am outside of the US
Sometimes people are running specialized applications that run only on the system setup they have and changing to a newer system and the application will not work. So normally it is unlikely anyone would have a need for an old system as I agree with you, but sometimes there is that need. I can run my dos applications under DOSBOX or any other dos emulation for example, when I have a need. Sometimes it is an old game that requires a specific OS.

I have way more computer, desktops and laptops, than I need or can use, but then as an IT tech surgeon with customers who needs vary and so always have a computer backup that they can use when there is need of repair that requires special attention. For myself I am using a I7 HP Elitebook 8760 and have several of these and happy with each and every one. I have two HDs and run Linux Mint 19.
