How many computers do you have?

I don’t believe anyone can have just one computer. I keep all my data in the cloud and have at least three units setup with the main apps that I use. I do have just one smartphone, though. Maybe it’s time for a low cost backup unit!

I didn’t realise just how many I had until I read this question.
Short Answer: 6 Desktops, 7 Laptops, 2 Mini-PC’s

Long Answer:
I only use 2 machines on a given day which would be:
Main Machine: Custom Desktop (link here)
Work Machine: MacBook Pro 15" Maxed Out (Work spoils us)

The others:
5 x Other Custom PC Towers (3 ATX, 2 MATX)
7 Laptops (Mix between early-to-mid 2000’s and pre-Win8 2011/2012 laptops.)
2 “Mini-PC’s” (Like the Intel NUC form factor)

I have a desktop with an AMD 3900X, 64GB RAM, RTX 2070 Super, and a 2TB m.2 nvme.
I also have a Samsung Tab S6, and Galaxy 10 phone.
The rest of my family all have a laptop and android phone each (3), and my son has a desktop too.

That’s a lot of connected devices that connect over my Docsis 3 cable modem at 600 Mbps.

Hmmm. 3 iMac’s (2 27’s and 1 22) One of the 27’s is new. 7 Powerbooks of assorted models and vintages. Latest is MacBook Pro 15" 2019. Even a working PowerBook 190 that still runs system 7. Mac Cube running system10. 5 iPad’s from Mini to new 12" Pro. Most of them run my house. iPhone 11. Apple Watch series 5 (which is a real lifesaver). 3 ea Apple TV (all current). I think there is a Newton somewhere.

An update, the work commputer is still a ThinkPad T480, the phone is now an iPhone SE.

At home, the Ryzen sits in a corner, unplugged, as does the NAS. With the increasing electricity prices and uncertainty over whether we will have power cuts due to the lack of gas, I’ve switched to low power devices.

My main machine is now a Mac mini M1, I also have 2 Pi 3s and a Pi 400, although only one is currently in use as a PiHole.

Smartphone is now an iPhone 13 Pro and the Fire Tablet has given way to an iPad Air 2020 - I bought it about 3 months before the M1 version was released…

The Dell Ultrawide 34" monitor has given way to a 42" LG 4K display.

Still using the trusty 2013 i7 MacBook Air, although it’s starting to struggle with the music-composing software, so might have to swap it out soon.

I’m giving Samsung’s ecosystem a shot, so i7 Book2 Pro 360 laptop, S22 Ultra phone and Tab S7 tablet.
