@Leo and/or @PDelahanty we need a new entry in the show hierarchy for this new show, please.
Coming to this 10 hours after the last post, I see an entry in the show heirarchy, but it’s at the end of the list rather than alphabetically sorted, as everything else is. I tried refreshing the page just to check, but no change.
Yeah I am unsure what order that list is in. It starts with an L and then is followed by T when there is a G for general that wouldn’t logically come next if alphabetical.
Great teaser for the new show. Waiting anxiously for first episode. Now Windows users can get an idea of what it’s like to use MacOS.
The Terminal Apple logo got my attention. Please take the time to say how you did that. Memories of using punch cards with Hollerith commands and chain printers kurrchunking in the background to draw pictures and make banners came to mind.
This is going to be awesome, can’t wait, thank you @Leo!
Out-damn-standing!!! Loving the Hands On series
Looking forward to this show. Hey what make/model is that scrolling digital clock in the background?
I would recommend you stay well and truly away from that thing. Definitely check the reviews of it. It never really reached its potential and is way more expensive than it’s worth:
It’s ordered by an order number assigned on the back end. By default, they go at the end. I fixed that.
Thanks @PHolder , the Amazon reviews indeed did not look good. Appears app support has all but vanished. Thanks for saving me $200.
@Leo Would love to know how to put 2FA when logging in to a Mac if using a password (not Touch ID). I feel somehow my MacBook Air is less secure being that if someone used brute force, they could get into it and there is no “delete data after 10 tries” like on the iPhone.
Excellent idea @tokyotony - I’ll do a “how to secure your Mac” HoM soon.
Thanks @Leo. I’ve always wondered why there isn’t 2FA with logging in when we all have very sensitive documents on our computers.
Having a toddler who loves to run into my office and bang on my keyboard, I’m really glad my data’s not deleted after 10 attempts! …although I’ve already had an issue where my Apple Watch automatically unlocks the Mac when I run into my office to get him.
Not saying it has be to an all or nothing. iPhone has this as an option.
