Crazy Kids Today

I just had to deal with some childhood mischief. Apparently my 12 year old son irritated some other 11 year old kid on the bus today… The other kid warned my son not to say the insult again. My son did…

I got a call from his mother about an hour ago (he spends 1 week with her, and 1 week with me) - Apparently they found a paper bag full of poo on their doorstep. And, it had a note written: To (My Son’s Name)…

Wow, so they still do the old poo in the bag routine even in 2019? :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess so…

We went over and spoke to the parents of the other kid. My son’s mother mother wanted to call the police. I will admit that that may have made a bigger impact on the other kid, but I think that would have been overkill. So, I went and explained things to the parents of the other kid… Anyway - that kid’s parents must have fussed their kid… My ex-wife just texted me and said that the other kid just went over and apologized a few minutes ago.

I also told my son to not push other kids like he does. He needs to learn to just sit there and be quiet on the bus.

Man… kids today :stuck_out_tongue:

Having raised two and now having two grandkids live part time with their mom and us, I’m get to go through this twice…lucky me.

My favorite reaction to this day is when kids realize they aren’t the first to have thought of anything! That look of, How did you know? Priceless :joy::joy::joy:

The hardest is usually trying to keep the stern look on your face until you can go into the bathroom to laugh your head off!
