I use dual SIMs all the time, have done since the OnePlus 3. Every flavour of Android has managed the handoff between SIMs pretty well for me. Living in rural UK, mobile coverage is spotty, so I have a main SIM with my unlimited data. That’s also the one that has a good deal for overseas, costs no more to use there than in the UK. Then another PAYG network that I set the data to auto-switch to when it can’t see my main network. Calls and SMS can be received/sent from either.
So multiple profile eSIMs sounds useful. Shame neither of my networks supports them at the moment, guess that has to change as phones move away from physical SIMs.
