Paul got one small detail wrong with the new 14th generation processors.
They will not all come with an AI core. Obviously, the Atom, Celeron and Pentium processors won’t get one. BUT neither will the Core 3, 5 or 7 (and, yes, the ‘i ’ is missing on purpose, that has been dropped).
Only the new Core Ultra range, consisting of 5, 7 and 9 models, will get the AI core.

Intel has been struggling with its 14th Gen messaging. It appears on desktop it will stick with a “refresh” of current tech and not release this new tech for DIY and whitebox builders. The “real” 14th Gen appears to be more or less a laptop only from factor.

I also think having 14th generation with and without AI cores is a mistake, especially as they share the same model numbers (5 & 7). It is only going to cause confusion and ill will, when people find out that they didn’t get what they thought they were buying.
This has the smell of being a new Vista Capable debacle.
