Why did Jeff just accept the Google line about moving the UK data to the USA. He should know better than that…
GDPR is incorporated into the British Data Protection Act and their data remains under the same rules, until the UK Parlament changes the law. As the UK doesn’t have a data treaty with the USA at the moment and the US data protection laws are a travesty, the last place that google could move the data is to America.
If they don’t want to store them in the EU, Google 's only current option would be to store the data in the UK.
