I think Ant was right, Waze and Google maps are still seprate data. I can use both for navigation and Google maps will be dumb and thinks that side roads are forks in the road, while Waze is smart enough not to tell me to keep right at the fork in the road when there is no fork in the road. Then they will also give different directions for navigation at times. I was riding with others and I pulled up Waze for navigation while they were using Google Maps and had two different sets of directions to the same location.
