I would try one at a time, if it doesn’t detect the drive then go back and try the next one, it shouldn’t take long.
No, its unlikely to boot when you move it back into the PC.
Did you try moving the SSD into the SATA socket on the motherboard beside where the DVD drive plugs into? If you put it there that shouldn’t need a driver to do the install. Then when windows installs you can deal with setting your RAID controller connected drives up.
