I get Kewpie all the time, they sell it at my local grocery store. Leo is right, it’s the MSG that makes it better.

That was a tremendous discussion about rotating the Apple logo on iPads. I like going to MacRumors to see the pithy comments, but all the “top comments” on the story were snark. I’m guessing – hoping – that Arn is unhappy with the current quality of comments on his website. 
Merlin Bird ID by Cornell Lab is Wonderful! We ID’d a half-dozen species from our front porch at midday (and our activity is usually far higher in the morning and evening). The comprehensive regional bird-ID databases are wonderful. It runs on iPads and even Macs; an online connection is not required to actively identify birds. That is one heck of a free app.
I wish that Alex had recommended a low-cost shotgun mic to enhance the iPhone’s audio capture capabilities. Perhaps @Leo could ask him? Thanks.
UPDATE: We were talking junk with a Tufted Titmouse on our back terrace. We heard several of them doing calls; we chimed in with the Merlin app (on an iPad). The bird kept calling and moved close to our location. I don’t know if we were doing a mating call or challenging him to a death-match. We survived. The Titmouse is such a fierce creature; I think of them as tiny dinosaurs.
I went through the top 100 album list for fun, I had heard of 46 of the artists and 43 of the albums… Only about 6 would appear in my top 100.

I will ask Alex about shotguns. I see a lot people (including Salt_hank) using the Rode. But I’m guessing alex is not a fan. On the otherhand he must have had something on that kooky NAB live streaming rig he built.

I only recently discovered MBW (but I’ve been familiar with TWiT ever since high school!) and deeply fell in love. I feel like I’ve definitely found my emotional support podcaster(that being Leo!). Being available on YouTube made it a lot easier for me to keep up with TWiT content in a place that I consume longform the most. I wish I rediscovered TWiT via YT ages ago. I wish I was involved in the Rene Ritchie days. Gosh, it feels like I’m coming in at the tail end (that worry was re-sparked on today’s TWiG)
The 100 top albums Apple Music thing was kind of annoying for me. Not on the podcast, but in Apple Music itself. I really have come to enjoy tuning in to the Apple Music Radio stations when I’m showering, or hosting guests. Just like during the Superbowl stuff, it’s annoying when the radio services aren’t going on. (definitely a first world problem though.
I don’t know about the shotgun mics, but Alex did recommend the Rode NT a while back - I bought one on his recommendation.
I went through the list and have heard of 79 of the artists, though I couldn’t tell you a single song many of them have ever done. I simply recognized the name. Looked at the list of songs on the #1 album. Never heard of any of them, though I have heard of Lauryn Hill. Then again, I’m not the target demographic for that genre.
