Anyone here old enough to remember the Dictaphone? As a mid level execetive in the 60’s we all wanted our company to get them for our after hours work, but they were too cheap!

I presume by “they” you meant the company was too cheap buy a not so cheap Dictaphone, rather than the company wouldn’t buy the Dictaphone because it was too cheaply made

Yes I meant it was my company that was too cheap to see the productivity potential.

Liz still has an Olympus one we use in meetings and then transcode the output using a custom app based on the MS audio API
