I regularly watch History Hit and love Dr. Eleanor Janega’s videos, where she covers middle ages history, generally. She is really funny and does a great job bringing history to life.
This time, the HH team produced a bunch of “historical” AI images and she had to guess what they were of and rate them on accuracy. Absolutely hilarious.
I managed to guess most of the scenes they were trying to show, even if, for me as a layman, I could see they were wildly inaccurate. I wonder if my “advantage” is that I know history, but haven’t studied thousands of images that colour how I look at the scenes, looking first for the big clues, then looking at the accuracy.
I got Joan of Arc before she did, but my initial thought was a witch burning, but then it was not a “significant” enough event for a single image, so quickly guessed Joan of Arc.
Edit: Thanks Paul, I forgot to categorise the post.
