I’ll start by telling the story behind my profile picture. Here’s the full photo:
I was on a solo trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in way-up-nort’ Minnesota. This was taken on Stuart Lake. I was sitting around my campsite waiting for the perfect sunset photo when I noticed my shadow on a moss covered boulder behind me. So it’s a shadow-selfie. #Shalfie?
Notice the “line” on the boulder where the moss stops? That’s the point where ice and snow reach in the winter.
I did end up getting some real nice sunset photos, but that’s for another time.
