I could not find the actual Build # so I do not know if it is 26200.6584.
If you use an ISO install in its default configuration, it will retrieve any relevant updates as part of the process, so really it’s Microsoft’s attempt at a “live build” I guess.
There are tangential changes to GamePass in the form of MS rewards restrictions that are also bad. For starters, you can no longer redeem points directly for GPU. Up until now, you could get a discount on GPU if you used MS points directly. It was about $12+ per month (figuring 1000 MS points=$1), and with regular maxing out of the MS rewards, it wasn’t too difficult to effectively get GPU for “free” for participating in their Bing usage.
The GPU price increase feels like eating/drinking at stadiums, where it’s really expensive, but the portions are large. Honestly, I’d be happy with the mid-tier if I could use my points….
What M$ has been doing lately is going heavy at any of the users trying to use points in the MS rewards program for doing searches in Bing. There’s always been a daily cap, but for many users there’s a timed cap, you can only do 3-4 searches until points earning is paused for 30 minutes. On top of that , many users (myself included) get restricted use of those points because you “may be in breach of TOS,” which of course is very onerous so they can do whatever they want and they don’t have to tell you why their AI thinks your searches aren’t natural enough, even if you’ve done zero searches recently.
Luckily all my son plays is Marvel Rivals, and Free to play games don’t require GamePass to play online. But somehow the minimum is $10 to play online for a game you’ve purchased.
