I think the switch to Unreal will be a severe blow to the Halo franchise, which has already sustained so many blows. Their engine has such a unique feel to it, which is one of the main reasons I’ve put hours into Halo Infinite.
I really don’t think it’s fair to compare the web browser engine market to the game engine market. Games are so much more immersive than web browsers to the end user, and that amplifies the small nuances, or “X-factor” that comes with different engines.
