WW 663: Try the Toasted Ravioli

Beep boop - this is a robot. A new show has been posted to TWiT…

What are your thoughts about today’s show? We’d love to hear from you!

Listening to WW, Leo & the Canadian on the show mentioned how well Canada handled the Covid-19 issue (low number of cases in CA) compared to the US. Canadian population: 37.59 million, cases: 103 (1 case per 365,000) US pop: 327 million (not including undocumented immigrants) cases: 938 (1 case per 349,000) so the numbers don’t bear that out)

On the other hand, how many citizens in the USA have been tested, compared to Canada.

That is the key factor. If you don’t test, you don’t know how many cases you have. The US seems to be sticking their head in the sand.

Many countries have set up free, drive thru testing stations. Even people who have been quarantined in the USA aren’t allowed to be tested…

That isn’t the way to deal with this problem.

I agree, there are many that don’t exhibit symptoms or have developed them. On the other hand it is also spreading fast in Canada as well. Canada has tested more as a percentage but far fewer than the US in raw numbers…hard to judge all this stuff by available information…people just assume the US has screwed it up and dragging feet. I suspect once things become more apparent it won’t be as bad (statistically) as some want it to be…
