What to do with internet MP, alternatives

I’ve caught up in internet provider MP snd after 5 years of being customer, they want $80 for 150Mb
And no fiber or cable alternatives
So do you know of any way to have internet
I need wifi for all my smart home

In another matter, although I cannot have that now,
What do you think of google fiber?
Pricing?
Security?
Cavities?

Haven’t Google stopped Google Fibre? The existing customers are in “legacy” mode, until Google finally shuts the doors.

I think they’re still taking new customers. I think they’re stopping the TV service in favour of YouTube TV though.

Ah, okay. I thought they had pretty much given up and weren’t rolling out to new areas. (WaPo article from 2016 says that they didn’t have demand and it was more expensive than they had anticipated, so they stopped rolling it out to new areas).

I heard the bit about stopping the TV service on TWiT a week or 2 back.

I would pay for Google Fiber if they would get it into my area. But, alas, there are maybe 20,000 people in this county. Anything is better that what we have available to us at a descent price.
