From a more global perspective, the majority of tech people don’t use G-suite, I would doubt that even applies to north America.

Isn’t the problem with Reddit and Twitter that they never had much of a route to profitability apart from advertising? It feels almost like Huffman has only just realized that Reddit needs to be seen to be turning a profit.
If you think about it, the technology industry is about making people unemployed. First, we had answer machines taking the jobs of people sitting on the phone and taking messages. Email makes delivering messages to people more efficient.
Digital cameras mean that you no longer need to take your inappropriate photos to get developed.
But, like using robotics in the operating theater doesn’t put surgeons out of work, AI won’t put people out of work, but instead will make them more productive… unless you’re @Leo, in which case, we can just feed it the news and have it generate something that sounds like what he might think about it.
APIs are always a pain. Caused us so much hassle at work. You want your new service to be used, so promote people integrating with it via APIs. Then somebody builds a business on top and you are left paying the server and bandwidth bills.
