Google Assistant is getting a cutback

It seems that Google is still feeling it needs to make cuts to its cost structures. They’re doing some additional layoffs and they’re making other changes. One of the changes is to the Google Assistant, which is becoming less prominent on your Android phone, and is getting a bunch of less commonly used features deprecated. The most notable of them to me is the feature around e-books, but I guess that might only apply to books that were purchased through Google, and I don’t think they offer that feature any more either. Still, forewarned is forearmed, as they say.
