Well now I wish I had an old PC. LOL

Well… there are interesting low cost options from Pine64… including a tablet that runs Linux. I know they have an edition of ChromeOS for some of their products.

So with a little funding (yes I know money is tight right now, but under $100-$200 might be doable for some fun experimenting?) you could have a unique toy.

EDIT: This is vaguely related and could be fun https://raspad.sunfounder.com/ but seems more pricey if you’re not an “early bird”.

Yes, once my work hours get back to normal and I can afford it, I think I could take this on. Sounds fun!

Yea, many Chromebook users now about this. Just be aware that you won’t get the Google play store with this…

Well, it’s Chrome, not Android. But no Chrome Web Store?

Oh I think I know what you mean - some Chromebooks run Android apps but not this one. Yeah?

Yes, you have to get a “real” Google Chromebook to be able to run android apps. I have occasionally seen someone on Facebook manage to pull it off and get that to work on their own PC. But, it’s not part of the normal Cloud Ready install. I believe it takes a lot of work to pull that off.
