Connecting win 11 laptop to office TV

Hello TwitLanders,

I need some assistance. I need to spec out a good solution (wired or wifi / with or without transmitter/receiver) for connecting office managers win 11 laptop to a mounted tv on the wall. Right now there is a direct connection through the use of a single HDMI cable from TV to Laptop. The Barco clickshare option in our current boardrooms are too expensive for this type of setup as I will have to install it on many other managers offices. Thanks for your recommendations.

What sort of TVs are they? All of mine support casting natively from Windows 11. I assume it’s using Miracast.

Keep it simple, use the HDMI cable.

@Jamez That was my first thought as well, that or cheap Chromecast or Miracast boxes.

That isn’t always possible. Our meeting rooms went from VGA projectors to large LCD TVs a few years back, the tiled floors were already in place, so no easy way to get the cable from the conference table to the TV.

If you are in a old building with no raised floors or hung ceilings, you are stuck having to run that cable across the floor, so it is unsightly, a tripping hazard or both, then plastic trunking running around the walls to the screen. A wireless solution is sometimes the only or at least the best solution.

Years ago, we had Miracast HDMI dongles. Assume they are still available.

Just looked, lots on Amazon. Might be good enough for business presentations.

I used to have a HDMI wireless device for a conference room. Receiver plugged into the TV, sender was on the table. I don’t recall the brand/etc, but it worked, most of the time.

Thanks everyone. I will look into the “miracast” option any any generic hdmi wireless device.
