I’ve heard @thurrott mention on WW a few times that retail licenses of Win7/8 are still getting free Win10 upgrades. It seems that it is only OEM Windows licenses that no longer get a free upgrade. He’s also said that the official word from Microsoft is that nobody gets free upgrades anymore.

It was quite interesting to see what would activate. I hoped the retail copy of Win7 on the Lenovo would be OK, but was surprised the old HP with OEM Win7 did
