I think something you guys at macbreak are missing with the apple car is subscription. I think apple is trying to make a fully self driving fleet that you subscribe to per month. Remember Tim is all about recurring $$$$$

I think I would rather have a Linux car than an Apple one, at least I could afford it and probably drive it anywhere - I am sure it should be OK once you get used to it have 7 wheels and a rear facing steering tiller.

I don’t see Apple getting in the mess that is auto manufacturing, parts, repair etc etc. I could see them partnering with an OEM to own the entire technology stack in the car
You may be right about outsourcing the car but I still think the subscription is where they want to go. “Services” are the product I think of as Tim Cooks legacy not any product. He is a master of getting every nickel from their customers.
