Not convinced by MagSafe. I’d rather have a charging stand I think. Yes, it locates the phone correctly on the wireless charger, but it turns picking up the phone into a two-handed operation. My wife is always picking her iPhone up and taking her charger with her (until she runs out of cord 
)

Maybe I’m tempted to glue the charger to the table
It is great in the car, I just aim it at the charger and it sticks, when I get back out, I just grab the phone and it comes away from the charger, but it is obviously anchored.
I think a desktop charger probably needs to have a little weight to it, so that it doesn’t go up with the phone.
