Outlook power users are in for an extremely bumpy ride as the product moves towards Microsoft’s vision. It feels like Microsoft trying to shepherd people away from email. I can imagine users of a certain vintage will be seething mad once they’re updated.
I moved most of my workflows out of legacy SMTP years ago, and personally, I find the new Outlook to be quite pleasant. It’s been stripped down to the basic featureset that I use. The simplicity is a welcome change for me.
Paul defending MS Teams is bewildering to me. Every time Teams is brought up he mentions the performance improvements in the new WebView version, as if upgrading from 4 second to 2 second UI latencies is somehow acceptable.
