OnePlus 5t waiting for Android 10 update
I had the LG G6 before getting the G8 and havenāt had any boot loop issues. I stuck with LG because of the wide angle camera on the G6 and the G8 camera doesnāt disappoint.
Using a Pixel 3a.
I like the (somewhat) small size, Googleās Android, fast updates, great camera, and good battery life. I also like the plastic back because itās light and Iām not that concerned about it. Oh yeah, I like the price.
The screen doesnāt get as bright as Iād like when outside but I can manage and I donāt use the phone outside too often. Some apps have a long pause before launching which I assume is the mid-range processor struggling a bit to get them started. I see a little stuttering when scrolling the multi-tasking screen.
I have a Moto G7 power, I love it
Iām using the Pixel 4XL and enjoying it contrary to the general tech reviewerās sentiment. I donāt love the battery life but it gets me through the day. Everything else about it is great! I love the camera, performance and face unlock though I changed the setting to unlock and bypass the lock screen since I like addressing my notifications via the lock screen.
I came from an iPhone XS. I regularly switch between iOS and Android.
I am in your EXACT situation, but am considering getting a Note 10+ while theyāre on sale at BB this week.
Me too The Moto 7 Power battery life is incredible! I use it mainly as a (portable) replacement for a landline so no answer-machine necessary.
I also use a Nokia 7 as a more personal phone. Itās an Android One phone so updates come quickly.
Both phones were reasonably priced and were bought sim-free unlocked outright, they both have a headphone jack, both have SD card slots and, crucially, they both have BIG screens. They do what I want them to do. I only wish they had removable batteries.
Both have PAYG sim cards (different numbers) because I donāt use a lot of data and I use WhatsApp over WiFi connections to keep in touch with friends and family. I top up my balance by Ā£5 when it gets very low every few months.
I have no desire to upgrade to the latest and greatest. When these die, they will be replaced with something mid-range again.
I almost bought a Nokia 7 phone, but ended up with my Samsung S8 because of a 2018 black Friday sale. It seemed like a good phone
I love my phone, its battery is amazing
I almost got a Nokia 7.1, the only problem was the price
Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Pros
Looks. I think it looks great. I have the blue textured back and it looks awsome.
Battery life. 40-48 hours from 100% to 5.
Camera. Handles most of the situations with a result that I am satisfied with.
Fast charging.
Fast. I have not experienced any lag or stutter.
Cons
The notch. Too big, a lot of notifications get lost ābehindā the notch.
The curved edges. Not really a fan of the curved edges, I think it makes the phone a little less easy to hold. For the moment i use Huaweis thin clear case, which makes it a little easier to grip.
No 3.5 mm jack. I usually use bluetooth headphones or Android Auto when i want listen to music or podcasts. But every once in a while i find myself in a situation where a 3.5 mm jack is the only way to connect.
All in all this is the best phone i have owned. The biggest downside is that a lot of notifications get lost because of the notch. Since the display is so high res I would like to have seen the option of having two rows of notification icons.
Iām still using a Galaxy S9, I love the phone works great. As for the Bixby button I found an app that allowed me to change the digital assistant assigned to the button to Alexa which I use in my house so that works great.
