Enjoyed listening to Steve’s thoughts on the state of IoT devices. I’m of the mind that law enforcement, or perhaps some NGO should establish a group which targets consumer devices exposed to the WAN that are vulnerable to certain known exploits. I realize this is quite heavy-handed and likely illegal, but the consequences of an ocean of unsecured endpoints are getting higher by the day.

For every security case that is caught, how many are not caught? Then, from those who were found out, how many were announced?! Therefore, how will changing a provider solve that problem?
