Do you have to support specific suppliers EDI standards?
What sort of retail?
Any hardware restrictions? E.g. certain types of hand scanner in the warehouse or stock rooms?
Does it need APIs into third party software? E.g. payment systems, bookkeeping software etc.
what sort of reporting features do you need?
Does it need to provide a BI took, it are you feeding it into an existing BI tool?
What sort of budget are you liking at? $100K $1M, $10M?
