The iPhone scare story is just ludicrous. I used it for the first time a few weeks back, when we had a new colleague. I had to actually jump through several hoops, before I could actually swap my details with him. I hadn’t created a contact card and I hadn’t turned the service on.
The conspiracy theory part of my brain says to watch out for some form of attack on Apple over the coming days… Probably along the lines of “won’t you think of the children”, probably another attack on their refusal to compromise security and privacy by implementing CSAM scanning.
