So I find it very amusing that Americans can think it is odd that Brits call it a ‘Bum Bag’ it is a bag and you wear it over your bum. However, its fine to call it a FANNY PACK! Do you know what a FANNY is??? If not I suggest you ask Iain Thomson!

I watched a video on YouTube by a Canadian lady living in the UK and some of the phrases and meaning differences between here and there are mildly disconcerting. As @Leo said, the language has the same name, but the usage is far from the same in all cases.
