I’m still waiting for mine, delivery 1-9 October at the moment - I ordered it about 18 hours after launch.
None of the shops here have stock, either.
eSIM - here in Germany, my iPhone 14 at work offered to just transfer the eSIM from my old phone to the new one. Unfortunately, my iPhone 14 was the old phone, I had to reset it, to add it to our new MDM system and when you reset a phone it disables the eSIM; so if you are setting up a new iPhone and not transferring from your old one, don’t reset the old one until it has transferred the eSIM!
Edit: regarding the foldable phones, I was in the local store last night, to see if they had stock of the iPhone and they had the Samsung Flip and Fold. The screens look so bad on both of them, when I saw the Flip, it was flipped out and I knew what it was immediately due to the dented line running across the middle of the display. When I unfolded the Fold, the screen was even worse, the fold was even more noticeable. A friend had the previous one as well and when I tried using it, I couldn’t unsee the fold in the screen, which ruined actually using it.
