HOP 1: Getting Started With Photography

Beep boop - this is a robot. A new show has been posted to TWiT…

What are your thoughts about today’s show? We’d love to hear from you!

Excellent show I look forward to digging in to more how to’s but I love learning the basics. I think you did a great job making things easy to understand but detailed enough to know what’s going on.

Maybe it’s just me but that clock behind you is incredibly distracting. It’d be fine if it ran through everything once at the beginning and then stayed on something like the twit logo but the constant cycling through everything kept drawing my eye.

Great Start for those of us who are hobbyists, want a refresher and learn more.

Love the new show @ant_pruitt I am excited for the new episodes. Photography is awesome, I am no good at it, but I love it. Hoping you can change that! Good luck with the new show!

THANKS, Mr Howell. Means a lot

Thanks for the feedback, @blackflame451. I really look forward to sharing more to help folks learn. I agree about the clock. We’ll see what we can do about it. We’re already planning the set for ep2.:blush::blush:

You have to be careful with that heal brush @ant_pruitt

I’m of two minds on this. On one hand, you’re right. I constantly found myself drawn to it. On the other hand, I really like that clock. I kinda want one now :joy:

I didn’t expect this, but after watching, I’m most pumped about the How-things-work explainers. I learned photoshop on my own as a kid, so a lot of what I know is through trial and error and without much context. I realized I never learned much about the tech behind digital photography or why things work the way they do. Filling in those gaps is well overdue.

Off to a great start @ant_pruitt . Love how the editing covered up the frozen iPad. How’d you do that? LOL. Can’t wait to send you some of my crappy photos and see how you make them wonderful.

I seriously think i’m the only person on the planet to freeze an iPad. Lol!
Thanks for watching and the kind words

i learned with trial and error too. LOTS of error. Hahahahaha! But I also used to break stuff to see how they worked. Thanks for watching

Great first show! This is exactly what I need. Can’t wait to follow along through the episodes. I’d love to buy a bridge camera because I really want to shoot birds, but can’t justify the cost until I learn how to use a “real” camera . Thanks Ant!
