Leo, you mentioned that invisible files inside a folder will not be copied using drag-and-drop. This is true only if the folder you want to copy is open in the Finder and “Select All” is chosen to copy the contents of the folder. However, if you drag-and-drop the folder’s icon, all files and folders inside of it (including invisible ones) will be copied.

For example, my Mac’s home folder is named Joe. If I select the “Joe” icon and drag-and-drop it to an external volume, everything inside it (including invisible files and folders) are copied. I can confirm this by making the invisible files and folders visible in both the source and destination.
