So glad to see this topic given some exposure. Harnessing the power of shell scripts in response to your own triggers as brokered by file location is powerful, but one additional degree of freedom I’d love to see covered or at least mentioned in a future episode is yolking instead to labels on the files within those folders, since labels can transcend any given hierarchy, particularly with the recent overhaul of them to be virtually limitless under APFS. Although similar to any other metadata manipulable by script, labels afford a bespoke taxonomy the user can craft independently from the limitations of file/folder/hierarchy I think in the long run is actually much more useful a rubric for command/control/empowerment over both data and its information yielded to users.
