I’m pretty sure I first saw this video in 2012, it was my college freshman year, it got me so excited and it never really came to fruition. This was their vision for 2019. “Office Labs Vision 2019” is what the video is called, I believe. There’s a handful of reuploads.
Although revisiting it now, even though it never looked as cool as that video, we got a lot of those concepts now. I was taken away by how cool everything looked. The glass slabs, the digital paper, the immersive screens. The smartphone is largely unchanged since this video except it got bigger and some fold (which was shown in that video!).
The Windows 2030 experience seems a lot more tapered. I hope in my career people start calling me G$ the way people call David “DWIZZLE”. I am looking forward to a passwordless future in the workplace. I don’t know if we’ll ever get there in our personal lives, though.
