My desktop PC is still running an Intel 8th gen. I’m even rocking a GTX 1070 still. I am personally ready for an upgrade, but… nothing I do on this PC really demands any more power!!! I mostly play World of Warcraft (and now Classic, which is less demanding than Standard)
I am shocked Leo retired his Bee Computer. Maybe I’m shocked he wore it for so long.

You can use Paul’s tip to install Windows 11 on the PC, at least it will get updates, until Microsoft decides to enforce the hardware requirements for updates. I used it to upgrade my old HP Spectre x360 from 2016 and my old Ryzen 1700, which I donated to a colleague - he had a 4th gen Intel system, which was getting a bit long in the tooth…
Oh I have my PC already on Windows 11. I’m running 22H2. I also have 24H2 install media from last year because I was going to install Windows on my NVMe drive (which I still will when I build a new PC) as an upgrade from my SATA SSDs.
I’m going to run this PC until the wheels come off and then upgrade to a Ryzen something. I just wish GPUs were cheaper because right now I feel like I would still keep using my GTX 1070… And my fear is I’ll just never upgrade my GPU (until it dies. because I’m not a demanding user)
