Up too early to start work, up too late to go swimming, up at the perfect time for Windows Weekly.
I laughed too hard at Five Colours We love you Jason Snell!!!
I do agree with Paul about IOS 2 making the iPad feel even more like a MacBook. Since downloading the beta onto my IPad Pro 12.9 with a Magic Keyboard, I’ve hardly touched my Windows laptop. It’s a couple years old and just takes to long to turn on and so the iPad is my go to unless I need something that doesn’t work on an iPad.
I don’t use Windows much these days, but I really appreciate the philosophical conversations that Paul and Richard have about tech in general. It’s why I watch weekly.
I’m just sad that, after what Richard said at 19:44 (according to my player), the show title wasn’t “Just not that Super”.
The same here. I still manage Windows servers and Windows clients at work, but all my PCs at home are now Macs and I have a Mac at work, and I use some Linux VMs and a NAS at home, but I still really enjoy Paul’s point of view.
I still subscribe to Thurrott.com as well. The only thing that annoys me, with his coverage, is that he concentrates on what new features come in each monthly update, but he totally ignores critical security fixes that have been applied by those updates - to me, the new features are secondary, the fixes are primary concern, so I need additional sites for that coverage.
I have a Windows computer sitting on my desk but it’s probably only touched maybe once every 9 months or so. I primarily use my iPad if I’m doing something because it’s usually the closes device. If I need to “Work” I usually pop out a MacBook Pro.
But the cast of this show and just wanting to stay up to date with Windows since my employer uses it I keep coming back each week.
