There were somethings left out of your discussion about Skype. For those who might actually care about all this.
Microsoft has given detailed instructions on how to transition from Skype to Teams Free. People who have a paid subscription to make phone calls will be able to continue their subscription time that is left on May 5/25.

All you have to do is enter your Skype Account details
like Skype name & Password. It will Automatically Sync your Skype Contacts.
There is also a Browser that you have not talked about.
LibreWolf. I still use Firefox but Librewolf is now my Default Browser. There is also a Portable version if you just want to test it out first. Latest version is 136.0-2

I started using Skype Desktop before Microsoft got it.
Before Cell phones it was great. For $30.00 I could make Unlimited calls to the U.S. & Canada for One Year. After Microsoft bought it I was still locked into that price.
