There was a terrible whitenoise hum this episode. I’m only 9 minutes in, but I skipped around and I suspect it’s consistent.
That same hum did not exist on TWIG. So I’m listening to that in the meantime. I can’t deal with that whitenoise hum on headphones. I’ll have to wait until I’m listening on speakers later
I can still hear the whitenoise hum on the speakers(I find iPads are really good for playing podcasts outloud); but it’s a lot easier to ignore as I suspected.
You mentioned the cruise this episode, which is funny because a few days ago I emailed you about that. I only learned about the cruise last week because I’ve been going through older WW episodes; and I was wondering if you’d ever do something like that again.
Richard’s Right-Wing parrot story got me. I love that.

I thought they mentioned that at the start of the episode… There was some drilling or something at Leo’s. (Maybe that was in the pre-show.)
I don’t actually think it was Leo’s drilling this time. He mentioned that on one of the macbreak weekly pre-shows.
Unless he mentioned it again. But I remember I was actually live for one of the pre-shows where Leo mentioned the drilling so I was prepared for it. But that was a different sound than this.
I think it unlikely we’ll do another TWiT cruise. But never say never. I might get lonely in my old age.
As for the white noise, hmmm. Not sure. Was it there the whole time - when I did commercials, too?
Just for you, I went back to re-listened to one of your ads (US Cloud) and nope, it doesn’t sound like the white noise hum was there. I suspect it was Richard. But it’s all good; the episode was still really enjoyable despite the hum!
I’m bummed about the Cruise; but I actually asked you yesterday on the WW-preshow and you mentioned that you got sick on the last 2 cruises you went on, so I understand why you’re leaning towards the no haha.
I would love to do events (including cruises) that were purely social. I love the TWiT community and it’s always great to hang out with you all.
