Paul mentioned ExplorerPatcher and that makes me so happy because it’s one of my most relied upon tools now. I actually delayed updating to a different version of Windows 11 for almost a year because ExplorerPatcher was broken. I always kind of assumed Paul wouldn’t touch ExplorerPatcher because his relationship with Brad. Because Start11 is kind of a competitor that’s a more professional product (even though I personally can’t use Start11 to achieve what I am trying to do with ExplorerPatcher).
ExplorerPatcher is awesome. I rely on the Win10 taskbar because it still allows me to use T-Clock, the small Windows taskbar(i hate wasted vertical space! that is one of the biggest crime of the windows 11 taskbar), and taskbar on top.
ExplorerPatcher definitely is a tool that led me to discover & rely on windows backup/restore points(i always knew about them as a concept, but never was the type of person use the feature).
I once woke up to my Windows desktop having updated overnight and then Explorer wouldn’t load. so I was just in a black void (thankfully I know how to navigate without Explorer UI to get where I need to be)
I live in a constant worry that Microsoft is trying to extinguish apps like ExplorerPatcher.
