What to do with an old Nexus 7

I’ve got an old Nexus 7. The battery has seen better days and it hasn’t been updated in ages, but otherwise it works well. Looking for ideas on what to do with it.

There is an app called Alford that will turn it into a security camera, when you install it it asks if you want the device to be a camera or a viewer. Pretty self-explanatory really.

Not very exciting but I use mine to read from Google Books

It still works fine while on power right? It’s about the same size as the display on a Google Nest Hub. I wonder if there is an app that would allow you to treat it as a 2nd screen for notifications or other ambient things.

I still have a few Nexus 7 2013 tablets that I’ve flashed Lineage OS 16 (Android 9) onto, which has given them a refresh.

I have an old 2012 Nexus 7 mounted to the wall and it runs ActionTiles. It has become the visual control panel (or Mission Control as I call it) for my SmartThings runs smart home.
