I’m in need of paying a bill to a company that will only allow payment over the phone. It’s only $25 and yes, it is confirmed legitimate however I am not comfortable providing anyone my CC information over the phone and am looking at how I can create just a single use card number to help protect myself. I’ve searched my Visa and Discover account to but cannot find anything that would allow me to do such. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Discover used to offer this once upon a time but they removed that feature years ago.
https://www.privacy.com/ to the rescue! Their free tier will let you create a small number of disposable cards, you’ll just need to link a bank account.

Agree with @knewman . Privacy.com is incredible - we’ve been using it since before Covid, and it’s a great service.
