Acropolis has been vandalised several times throughout its history. Blown up, parts sawn off just to take away, statues “polished” by archaeologist in order to remove the original skin like colour etc.
There was a little video clip that was shown in the museum when it first opened but it was taken down because it showed the church trying to convert acropolis to an orthodox church etc so people from the church were upset and petitioned the museum.
