Upgrade iPhone 14 Pro Max or just charlnge the battery?

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max running 18.4.1.
I’m happy with everything my phone can do.

Battery health is 84%. From what I Google, it seems like I have 4-6 months until I drop below 80%.
Is there any good reason to upgrade to another phone rather than just getting a new battery?

End of life support for iOS updates perhaps? Should a new battery last as long as the current (I think I bought this phone Christmas of 2023)? And not degrade performance in anyway (until it starts to fall)?

If you’re happy with your phone, there’s no reason not to go to Apple and get a new battery. It could get you 2 more years out of the phone (or at least 1).

I wouldn’t worry about iOS end of life support for your phone.

The new iPhone comes out in about 6 months, but I’ve not heard anything about it that would make me want to upgrade from a 14. I would replace the battery.

Now it looks like the digitizer will also probably need to be changed on this iPhone 14 pro max as well as the battery. I can either replace both or wait until the 17 model comes to the store and hope that the 16 models drop in price and I can buy one of those. In the meantime, I still have my trusty iPhone 11 that still seems to be working well. Any comments on which option I should choose?

Update.

The clerk at a nearby cell phone store was able to tap the keys to successfully log in and disable voice control on my iPhone. Maybe I was just tapping too hard or something. Anyway, it turns out voice control isn’t a good option for me (on this phone anyway). I’m doing some research to see if others have had a similar experience.

On another note, the clerk also told me she didn’t think there will be a reduction in iPhone 16 prices when the 17 starts selling if I want to buy it outright (no contract). Maybe I can find a refurbished 15 or 16 on the Apple Store or somewhere else.

Really, the only reason I would consider upgrading from my 14 pro max is to take advantage of Apple Intelligence. But, from all reports, Apple Intelligence doesn’t seem to be developing very quickly.
