Last pass and Nod 32…
I started using LastPass after Steve talked about it on SN, but that was still before LastPass became a sponsor on the network.
I also subscribe to ITProTV, but in that case I subscribed using the SN offer code.
Audible - subscriber long before I discovered TWiT - but I love(d) it when Leo and Paul T exchanged listening recommendations!
Wordpress - used it prior to TWiT, but re-upped an account because of inspiration from TWiT
LassPass - discovered through TWiT
ExpressVPN - (love this!) discovered through TWit
I’ve used LastPass for years. I don’t recall if it was a Twit recommendation or something I came across myself. I use RemotePC thanks to Twit.
I know I use Lastpass, Carbonite, Audible, and Casper off the top of my head.
Lastpass, Freshbooks, Plex, Audible.
3 of the 4 were direct result of me seeing them as ads on the network over the years.
How does everyone here have time to listen to the shows on the TWiT network AND have time to listen to Audio books?!
I love audio books but 100% of the time I have in the car or able to have headphones in my ears is less time than just the TWiT shows I want to listen to.
Not to mention baseball.
I don’t use Audible anymore (because Amazon), but I listen to about 20 other podcasts regularly. Used to be a lot more than that, though a lot of Youtube channels pretty much are podcasts, too. So probably a few dozen including that, and also sometimes The Great Courses.
I have time because I listen at work, sometimes while driving (mostly music in car though), always when cooking or cleaning, while working on computer stuff, etc.
I need either silence or lyricless music when I’m doing computer stuff. If I’m listening to a podcast I end up either talking aloud or just staring into space lol.
But I do listen at work because the work I do at work isnt really work it’s mostly just sitting there.
The only Advertiser I have been unhappy with is RING. Now a has been with TWiT I say good riddance. First thing noticed was music or podcast interrupted but then not turned back on. Next thing Phone ringer being turned off. then not restored. Their CS said they only test on Apple and Samsung phone so TS for the rest of us. Also issues of connectivity that could be fault of my own wireless setup.
I listen at 2x-3x depending on the show. SN is 1x
This is a good idea. I used to do this too I forgot that I have that feature.
It’s like we are all trying to pack as much stuff into our brains as possible every day. Does anyone else feel this way sometimes?
Yes, but I don’t sacrifice comprehension and contemplation, which for me means listening to things at 1x speed.
I do speed read, but will deliberately slow down if I need to grasp something, and re-read and think about what I’ve read.
I have used Idrive for years now. Very satisfied with them
Wow, the list seems long but I don’t even know if I can remember some of the oldest sponsors that aren’t around anymore because I have either started using them from hearing them on the show as sponsors or suggesting them to a client or friend and then they start using them.
But here it goes:
Audible, Squarespace, GoToMeeting, Freshbooks, Ford, Eero, Ring, Simplisafe, ITProTV, Hover, LastPass, Legal Zoom, stamps.com, Carbonite, Wordpress, and ExpressVPN
I really miss the picks of the week for Audible books, too bad they aren’t a current sponsor.
Lastpass , Harris’s, stamps.com ( a scam), and several other. Before Twit I didn’t believe in a password manager now that I have last pass I’m and advocate.
Blue Apron, Audible, Capterra, Epson, ESET, LegalZoom.
Omg. LastPass, Harry’s, itprotv, gotomeeting, meundies (still a subscriber to all), Casper (twice), audible, tres pontes, aftershokz, calm, eero, dxengineering, Epson, legalzoom, mint, Molekule, netscout, rocket mortgage. Do I get a cupcake?
Yes, but you’ll have to wait until cupcakes.com* is a sponsor.
(don’t try going to that site, don’t know if it exists or is appropriate)
